Florence Marjorie Bennett was born on July 8, 1920, and passed on April 9, 2010, after a brief illness in Juneau.  She was 89.

Florence was the daughter of Charles and Elsie Bobb.  She lived her entire life in various Alaska communities before returning to her hometown of Hoonah.

She enjoyed an active life, loved her family’s company, camping and traveling up and down the Alaska Highway where she visited old friends and made new ones.  She was at her very best surrounded by her large family, regaling them with her clever and quick wit.  Florence was an exceptional storyteller, she was always happy when she was sharing her life experiences, tales to encourage and uplift friends and family.  She will be remembered by her family for her love of dancing the jitterbug.
