Fishing

The S.S. Aleutian was owned by the Alaska Steamship Company. The passenger ship stopped in several Southeast Alaska villages with canneries to pick up salmon to take to Seattle.

In August 1935 the S.S. Aleutian stopped in Hoonah to pick up salmon from the Icy Straits Salmon Company to be taken to Seattle.
