Captained by Willie Marks, the New Anny was crewed by members of the Marks family.

It is likely that these boats are gathered for Memorial Day, as it was tradition to take community members over to Pitt (Graveyard) Island, seen on the right.

Fishing was a lifestyle for Hoonah men and their families, as though it was in their DNA, you grew up and worked on a boat.
