Kendall Williams

Kendall Williams was born on May 15, 1890 in Hoonah. His mother was Lilly Moore (born about 1868 in Hoonah) and his father has been identified as “Williams,” born in Klukwan.

He was a fisherman, who also played in the Hoonah Community Band. His first marriage was to Phoebe Phillips and his second marriage was to Frances Marks. Kendall Williams is considered one of the “founding fathers” of the Alaska Native Brotherhood Camp #12.

He passed away July 12, 1965 in Tenakee while in the mineral baths.
