Fishermen would visit with each other after a day's fishing to share information. Lincoln Gordon (right) fished daily, trolling in front of Hoonah, Point Sophia, Spasski and as far out as Point Adolphus.
Melvin Williams served in the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne from 1964-1966. He attended basic training in Fort Ord, CA and Jump School Training in Fort Benning, GA to become a paratrooper. He was stationed in Fort Campbell, KY and worked in communications.
