Sam Hanlon Sr.'s Tlingit name was S'tu wut it'l geh, he was clan leader of the Wooshkeetaan and a lifetime fisherman and Captain of five seine boats. Sam was married to Katherine Hanlon, his wife of 64 years, before his passing in 2011.
