Description:
Each year Huna Heritage Foundation and Hoonah Indian Association collaborate on hosting a Traditional Food Fair, held late summer, that celebrates our local traditional foods. It is a free event open to the community where a meal is shared featuring local traditional food. Foods that were harvested throughout the summer are distributed to those in attendance. In past years we served halibut chowder, salmon chowder, fry bread and a berry desert.
