Hoonah Double Ender Boats

Summary: 
Fishermen would visit with each other after a day's fishing to share information. Lincoln Gordon (right) fished daily, trolling in front of Hoonah, Point Sophia, Spasski and as far out as Point Adolphus.

Double ender boats were very popular at the time and Lincoln Gordon was known to build his own. Double enders were made locally at boat shops, three men who crafted boats include Lonnie Houston, Harold Jones and Silas Dalton and John Lawson was a carpenter shipwright.
