Boat Docked at Cannery

Summary:
The fishing tender, The Bear at the gut scow chute.
Cultural Narrative:

Pictured here is the fishing tender, The Bear at the gut scow/gurry scow at the cannery. A scow is a sort of barge that does not possess its own means of propulsion and would need towing by a tender. Fish guts, or gurry, would be flooded into the gut scow and taken out front of the cannery and dumped, which made for great halibut jigging and brought in salmon sharks among other sea creatures who would feed upon the gurry.
